With me they buried the lines in front of my house on Jan 25th and I wasn't able to get fiber until May 18th. I have also heard stories of people having it buried and getting service a month or so later. I think my house was one of the first in the neighborhood where they started, was also the first person to get fiber in my neighborhood lol.All Fiber work will be new work at or near your address. And based on your update it will be buried work along your street in addition to the work at the corner. Gigabit is about the highest you can get at the consumer level today but you can also just get 100 or 300 or whatever the isp will sell you if you don’t need the extra speed. You still get the advantages of fiber, a more reliable and stable, usually symmetrical connection. There have been a bunch of subcontractors in my neighborhood digging holes and running large orange and gray plastic tubes in the ground.
